AIRPORT / ANURADHAPURA

Pick up from Colombo International Airport or at the pre requested location in Negombo as per your arrival time, transfer to the ancient city of Anuradhapura, the first ancient of Sri Lanka's kingdoms. You may spend the day relaxing after long journey in the hotel and in the evening, visit the Anuradhapura ancient city.

ANURADHAPURA / TRINCOMALEE

After the hotel breakfast head out to Trincomalee en route visit Thirukoneswaram Temple. The temple lies on a high rocky promontory surrounded on three sides by the sea.

Trincomalee houses one of the largest natural harbors in the world. Recently it had been a base for the Sri Lankan Army and Navy but now it remains an amazing multicultural town with roots dating back to Marco Polo. Spend the evening at the hotel pool or on the undisturbed, quiet beach.

TRINCOMALEE

You have the option of an excursion to Pigeon Island. Named after the Rock Pigeon that colonized it the island, it has some of the best coral sites in Sri Lanka. This is the best place for snorkeling. Thereafter, visit Trincomalee city in the evening.

TRINCOMALEE / PASIKUDAH

After the early breakfast you can enjoy with Dolphins and Whales in the east coast in Sri Lanka by a Whale Watching Tour. Trincomalee is rapidly emerging as another internationally important Whales and Dolphin watching destination. The best season for Whale and Dolphin watching in Trincomalee is May to October. During your excursion you will be able to spot various species of Dolphins and Whales, for instance; Bottlenose dolphin, Spinner Dolphin, Fraser’s Dolphin, Blue Whale, Killer Whale, Bryde’s whale and many more. During this season the ocean remains in tranquil, providing the most perfect surrounding to watch Whales and Dolphins in a closer proximity.

After your amazing trip, transfer to Passikudah, which is a popular tourist destination boasting one of the longest stretches of shallow coastline in the world. Walk kilometers into the ocean with it only reaching your knees, a truly amazing experience.

After the breakfast head out to Habarana, en route visit ancient city of Polonnaruwa, the second ancient of Sri Lanka's kingdoms. After the lunch visit Sigiriya rock fortress, a UNESCO world heritage site adorning a palace on its peak, a must visit for anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

HABARANA

Do you like to feel real traditional Sri Lankan village life and taste of real Sri Lankan rice and curry? The best option is Hiriwadunna Village tour. This tour allows you to understand village life as well as experience a bullock cart ride, village walk, tuk tuk ride and even a catamaran boat ride.

After traditional lunch at the end of the village tour, travel to Minneriya National Park to visit wild elephant paradise by evening jeep safari.

SIGIRIYA / KANDY

After the breakfast head out to Kandy, en route visit, Rock Cave Temple in Dambulla, Ceylon spice garden and Muththumari Amman Temple in Matale.

In the evening spend the time touring around Kandy town including a visit the cultural performance, Kandy lake and Ceremony in the Temple of Tooth Relic at 6:30p.m.

After the breakfast visit Royal Botanical Garden, the garden includes more than 4 000 species of plants, including orchids, species, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka.

Thereafter visit Gem museum & factory and Wood carving factory. Sri Lanka’s gem industry has a very long and colorful history. Sri Lanka was affectionately known as Ratna-Dweepa which means Gem Island. The name is a reflection of its natural wealth. Marco Polo wrote that the island had the best sapphires, topazes, amethysts, and other gems in the world.

In the evening visit Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha Statue and Kandy view point.

KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA

After the hotel breakfast head out to Nuwara Eliya, at an altitude of over 1,800m above sea level the picturesque landscape of Nuwara Eliya is known as “Little England” because of the resemblance of its homesteads to English bungalows, and it’s cool climate, en route visit Ramboda water fall and Tea factory. In the evening you can have a walk visit around the beautiful city including Victoria Park.

NUWARA ELIYA / HORTON PLAINS

In the early morning at 5:30a.m, head out to Horton Plains on a beautiful, scenic trek. This consists of a visit to Worlds End as well as Bakers Fall. In your way back visit New Zealand Farm and reach to Nuwara Eliya to have your lunch after long walking journey.

In the evening you may visit Gregory Lake, Sita Amman Temple as well as Holy Trinity Church which was visited by Queen Elizabeth when she came to Nuwara Eliya during her 1954 official visit to Sri Lanka.

NUWARA ELIYA / YALA

After the breakfast, transfer to Nanuoya Railway Station to have a train ride. This is just an amazing train ride to experience Sri Lanka, because of the incredible views across the southern Sri Lankan hill country as the train passes in and out of numerous mountain tunnels through tea plantations, eucalyptus forests and nearby villages. The low lying clouds add beauty to the scenery.

 At the end of your train journey, pick up from Ella Railway Station and head out to Yala, en route visit Nine Arch Bridge and Ravana Water Fall in Ella.

YALA / GALLE

Early morning at about 5:30a.m., visit Yala National Park. Yala is the wildlife for Highest Leopards Density in the world also Sloth Bears, Elephant Herds are roaming naturally & freely with their colleagues of Wild Buffalos, Bores, Deer Species, Sambur Elks, Crocodiles, Monkeys, Foxes, Wild Cat Species, Alligators, Reptiles, Mongoose and many more animals.

After the lunch, head out to Galle, en route you may visit Mirissa Beach and Slit Fishermen and in the evening have a relax on Unawatuna Beach.

GALLE / COLOMBO

After the breakfast visit Galle Dutch Fort, well-known seaport in ancient times as merchant ships anchored here to trade. The famous Fort in Galle was originally built by the Portuguese in 1589 and named Santa Cruz. After the Dutch occupation it was destroyed and rebuilt on a larger scale to cover an area over 36 hectares. This world Heritage Site is a very interesting place to visit as the old and modern city blend together in perfect harmony.

Thereafter head out to Balapitiya to have a magical boat ride down the beautiful Madu River, a wetland estuary spreading over 900 hectares of which 770 hectares is covered with water and inhabited with 64 islands. 

After the aquatic experience, transfer to Colombo, en route visit sea turtle hatchery in Kosgoda to have an experience of life stages of sea turtles and many more. In the evening you can have a city walk around Colombo city which is the capital of Sri Lanka.
